click here for more information and images The Peace by Piece Quilt is an art project sponsored by the Conflict Resolution Center to increase the community's awareness of and interest in peace, tolerance, and a spirit of collaboration. The CRC has brought together over 500 children from a variety of neighborhoods, communities, and organizations so that each child could create a quilt square and storyrepresenting what peace means to each participant.

Paula Golden was selected as "2001 Teacher of the Year" by The Professional Quilter Magazine a member of the Board of Directors for the Virginia Quilt Museum, and co-author of The Quilts of Virginia 1607-1899. New this year on Sunday only: 10.30 am - 3.30 pm: # 11 (no instructor) "Sit and Stitch" Quilting and UFO work day - we provide the room and tables, you bring your supplies and sewing project. Our large classroom tables are wonderful if you plan on basting a quilt.
